This Labor Day, I reflected on how I spent my summer!
I feel like this was the first summer since the beginning of the pandemic, where I was actually able to plan fun and exciting things. But, like most of us, I spent most of 2020 indoors, and while things were a little better in 2021, the summer of 2022 felt more “normal” than it has in a long time.
Here are a few highlights from my summer!
Went to Ireland
One of my favorite parts this summer was going to Ireland with my family. Being of Irish ancestry, it was so cool to visit the place of my ancestors and learn more about Ireland’s history. In case you missed it, check out my Dublin blog post!
Visited the Windy City
This summer, I traveled to the Windy City of Chicago and I had the most amazing time. In fact, we did so much during the trip that I put together the ultimate guide to spending a day in Chicago, which you can check out here!
Had a Girl’s Weekend
I also spent some much-needed quality time with my friends on a weekend trip to Sea Island/St. Simons, Georgia. We spent our time shopping, eating good food, and catching up with each other. See some of the places we visited in my girl’s weekend blog!
Checked Out Fort Worth
I spent a weekend in Fort Worth, Texas, one of the coolest places I’ve visited this year. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re ever passing through Texas!
