Style Tips For Tall Pregnant Women

October 26, 2022

Finding comfortable and stylish maternity clothes for tall women can be difficult. Luckily, I’ve found a few helpful tall girl style tips for dressing while expecting.

Being pregnant and shopping for maternity wear is already a challenge so imagine being 6’2.5, as well! Tall-sized maternity wear is basically non-existent at this point in the fashion industry. Being that there are limitations to dressing as a tall mom-to-be, I have resorted to sorting through my wardrobe and finding basics that can be worn even with a growing belly. Goodbye tight-fitted jeans and hello skirts and flowy dresses. But these limitations don’t mean that you can’t dress in style for the occasional outings and even on the day-to-day – you can still look cute in athleisure wear! Here are some basic style tips for tall pregnant women:

Style Tips For Tall Pregnant Women

  • Shop for bottoms/pants that have a drawstring waistband. If you are shopping for bottoms and want something that will work with your growing baby bump, the best bet is to go with a drawstring because even the elastic can feel uncomfortable.
  • Continue sporting the maxis, just layer for the cooler months 😉
  • Midi skirts are where it’s at. As a tall girl, you can wear an elastic midi skirt without worrying that it will be too short. There are even affordable maternity midi skirts to shop such as this size-inclusive Amazon maternity find
  • Sport a low-waisted cotton maxi skirt for a boho maternity look! I’ve seen pregnant celebs sporting this style and it can be made into one fashionable look when styled with the right top and accessories. If you live somewhere warm or are headed on a tropical vaca, check out this other size-inclusive maxi cotton skirt
  • Flowy dresses are where it’s at! Pull out all the flowy dresses and pair them with seasonal shoes! Even if you have a stretchy cotton LBD, you can still comfortably wear these on the day-to-day during pregnancy, especially with these LBD style tips
  • Sweater dresses are clutch, especially for late fall and winter! There are so many midi sweater dresses and better yet, maternity sweater dresses! You can style these with over-the-knee boots or booties to wear for the holidays.
