Summer Rom-Coms to Watch

June 22, 2022

Looking for a good Summer romantic comedy to pass the time? Here’s a list of the five absolute best rom-coms you’ll always enjoy watching.

Is there anything better than curling up on the couch, slathering on a face mask, and browsing Netflix for a good romantic comedy to watch? Whether you’re spending a much-needed solo night in or gathering at your best friend’s house for an old-fashioned sleepover, watching a rom-com is always fun.

With summer right around the corner, I thought it would be fitting to share with you some of my favorite rom-coms to watch this time of year!

Mamma Mia! – A fun sing-along about a bride-to-be trying to find her biological father before her wedding. The scenery will make you want to book a summer vaca to the island of Greece ASAP!
Where To Watch: Amazon Prime, Peacock

Something Borrowed – Starring the QUEEN of rom-coms, Kate Hudson! Something Borrowed is about a young attorney living in New York City who realizes she’s in love with her best friend’s fiance. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this film and still never get tired of it. While this film centers around a messy love situation, the weekend trip to the Hamptons makes you want to rent out an Airbnb on the beach for a fun friends/couple weekend.
Where To Watch: Hulu

The To Do List – Okay, so not necessarily the type of rom-com like the others on the list, but it certainly does have an element of dating and relationships to it. As mentioned in my favorite self-care movies, this is a funny and hilariously awkward film about a recent high school graduate who sets out to become more sexually experienced before heading off to college. Starring Aubrey Plaza, this film is one of my favorite films that I personally feel is one of the more underrated summer movies to watch.
Where To Watch: Amazon Prime (for rent)

Crazy, Stupid, Love – A gem about love and divorce featuring an all-star cast. This movie has some of my favorite LOL moments delivered by my Hollywood heartthrob, Ryan Gosling, that still get me to this day. You’ve got to watch this film regardless of the season if you’ve never seen it before.
Where To Watch: Netflix

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants – I mean, how could this teen film not make the list?! I loved watching this film growing up as it gave me the chance to live vicariously through each of these girls’ summer adventures and not to mention some hot summer flings. But between the men and the scenery (mostly the islands of Greece) this is a must add to a summer rom-com list.
Where To Watch: HBO Max
