Boho Wedding Ideas For A Fall Lavender Wedding

October 31, 2022

Looking for creative ways to upgrade your boho-themed wedding? Read on for ways to incorporate a lavender color scheme into a Fall boho-themed wedding.

From custom boho bedroom ideas to beachy boho room decor, I am obsessed with anything boho. So when my husband and I were planning our wedding, I knew I had to infuse that style into our theme.

When it came time to choose our accent color, I just knew we had to go with lavender. Not only has lavender always been one of my favorite colors, but I loved the juxtaposition of a soft “spring” color like lavender being used in the fall. So many fall brides choose darker or jewel-toned colors for their wedding, and while that is still a beautiful look, I knew I wanted to lighten things up a bit.

Here are some of my favorite boho wedding decor ideas when going with a lavender color scheme!

Tie Lavender Into Your Entire Wedding Theme

A really cool way to incorporate the lavender color into your wedding is by including it in your save-the-dates, invitations, and thank-you cards. You can also go the extra mile and add touches of lavender when designing your wedding website. Your guests will definitely take notice of the theme, and it might even inspire them in what they choose to wear on the day of the wedding!

Lavender Wedding Party Colors

From pocket squares to the bridesmaids’ dresses, choose a lavender color. To make it not overly coordinated, in a boho fashion, go with various shades of purple and lavender. Choose flowy bridesmaid dresses to truly embrace that carefree loose, not restrictive boho style.

Have Fun with Flowers

When choosing the flowers for our wedding, I knew I didn’t want anything too structured or “perfect.” A true boho wedding is a bit undone, so choose flowers in a variety of colors and heights. The bouquet is the perfect way to create a boho look since florals are a key signature boho element.

You can also mix in some actual lavender sprigs when putting together your bouquet and centerpieces, or you can go all out and fill some mason jars up with just lavender. The key to a boho look is to make it look effortless, so keep that in mind when meeting with your florist.

Choose Your Wedding Favors

Giving out wedding favors is totally optional, but if you do decide to go this route, consider gifting your guests something lavender-related. A really thoughtful idea is to hand-make lavender soap bars and put them in little baggies with a sweet thank-you note attached to each one. However, if you’re not feeling so crafty, shop on Etsy for some lavender-themed wedding favors. You’d be surprised how many cool little trinkets and gifts you’ll find! I went to a nearby chocolate shop and picked out two flavors to put into a small box with a message on the outside that said “love is sweet” and had a lavender tie around it.
