Midi Skirts for Tall Girls

June 3, 2022

I’ve been seeing midi skirts EVERYWHERE lately, on everyone from my friends to influencers I follow on IG. I love midi skirts because anyone can rock one and feel cute and confident without showing too much skin.

Midi skirts are super versatile and can be worn for pretty much any occasion, whether you’re a 9-5 corporate gal or grabbing drinks with a hot date. However, finding a midi skirt that fits can be tough for us tall girls, and many of the ones I’ve tried on end up hitting me at an awkward point, like right at or above my knees. If you read my tall girl clothing guide, you know that there are popular clothing brands for any girl of any height.

So, to save you all the trouble of searching for the perfect midi skirt, I compiled a list of some of the skirts that have caught my attention, as well as the brands that I have had the MOST luck with for a reliable tall (even if not labeled tall) midi skirt for us tall girls!

Madewell: This is my go-to for skirts for tall ladies! Whether it is a mini or midi with a slit, Madewell always seems to suit long-legged ladies! Looking for a cute brunch skirt?! They have their very own designated brunch skirt that is the perf addition to your summer wardrobe.

Shein Women’s High Waist A-Line Midi Skirt: This skirt is perfect for office girlies who are looking for something both feminine and professional. This skirt comes in a variety of solid colors and has a sleek look that’s flattering on any body type.

Mabel Midi Skirt: This skirt from Princess Polly is perfect for grabbing dinner with the girls or checking out your favorite band on tour. The slit on the side will keep you cool all summer long and adds a little bit of spice for a fun night on the town. It also comes in plus sizes for all you curvy babes!

Satin Slip Midi Skirt: Target has been killing it lately, and I absolutely love this satin slip midi skirt by their brand Wild Fable. It’s on sale right now, so make sure to snag one before they’re all sold out!

Tia Sheer Printed Midi Skirt: This one’s a little funky, but hear me out — how cute would this sheer skirt look as a swimsuit coverup? Of course, this can also work if you’re going to a summer music festival and want to show a little skin but still feel somewhat covered up.

Mesh Midi Skirt: Looking for a cute casual midi skirt?! Check out this black mesh skirt that will look super cute with any colorful patterned top this summer.
