For as long a I can remember, my Aunt Mary has been making these amazingly delish holly berries for our family Christmas parties! When I say amazingly delish I mean that these are quite literally a crowd pleaser as the thirty something plus relatives that I have on this side all rush to the dessert table to snag one of these before they are gone (which is usually minutes after the dessert table is fair game)! So I am super excited and appreciative that my aunt shared her recipe so that y’all can make it in time for the holidays and you can impress your guests, loved ones and hostesses this holiday season!  What makes this even more fitting of a recipe for our fun and easy recipes is that these are so festive and this is a relatively quick recipe, with minimal ingredients and directions.  Additionally, for those of you who may be spending the holidays with that someone special and possibly meeting parents for the first time during the holidays this is definitely that fun and delish dessert recipe for you to bring to the holiday gathering!

  • 30 large marshmallows
  • 1 stick of margarine
  • 1 tsp. of green food coloring
  • 3 cups of corn flakes
  • red m&m’s

 Instructions:

  1. Melt margarine and marshmallows in a saucepan
  2. add green food coloring to the mixture
  3. mix in 3 cups of corn flakes and mix well*
  4. Drop by tsp. onto waxed paper
  5. decorate with m&m’s (as pictured, typically one or two)

* to ensure you have the most fun (and easy) time making these delish treats – make sure you have all ingredients ready to go once you start and to move through the steps timely as the corn flake mixture can become sticky over time and difficult to work with
