Back To School or Back To Work: Tools to Stay Organized

September 8, 2022

You know what’s funny? Even though my school days are long behind me, I still find myself feeling nostalgic every September when back-to-school season arrives. I can vividly remember shopping at Target with my parents, and picking out new notebooks and folders for the upcoming school year. Does anyone else remember those stretchy book covers we were all obsessed with?

Even though I don’t have to shop for school supplies anymore, I still find myself browsing the stores this time of year, looking for a cute new set of glittery gel pens or a planner I’ll probably use a few times and forget about. After all, adults need to stay organized, too! So here are some of my favorite supplies I like to keep on my work desk.

Planner– I’m a huge fan of Rifle Paper Co.’s monthly planners, especially their larger ones. The weekly desk pads are also adorable and super handy for when you need to jot down an important date quickly.

Colorful Markers– I use colorful markers for everything, as I like to color-code certain events and daily tasks. For example, I’ll write my doctor’s appointments in blue, important deadlines in red, etc.

Letter Tray– A letter tray is a must-have on my desk, and this rose gold one from Amazon helps me keep my papers organized while still looking super cute and stylish.

Sticky Notes– I use sticky notes for EVERYTHING, so I might as well make them cute, right? These pastel watercolor ones are also easier on the eyes than the traditional yellow ones.

Desktop Printer Stand– Printers are so bulky and can take up a lot of room on your desk, which is why I love this desktop printer stand that also has room for additional storage underneath!
