My January 2023 Entertainment Recap

January 26, 2023

It may sound crazy to already be doing a recap for the first month of 2023, but here we are nearing the end of January and I have plenty to discuss. The new year has brought in new movies, and new seasons of series that I love and I have found myself catching up on things that somehow slipped past me in 2022.  Here is what I enjoyed and recommend!

What I’ve Watched So Far In January

Ginny and Georgia Season 2

The long-awaited arrival for one of Netflix’s best series, this is the ultimate girl’s night in/mom-daughter show. Season 2 is quite intense and there are lots of emotions, drama and tension, and plenty of entertainment to fill your weekend with… at least that’s what I found when I watched the entire season in a weekend!

How I Met Your Father Season 2

I love this sitcom, partially because I am a Hilary Duff fan so I love anything of hers. This series is easy to watch, lighthearted, and super relatable for millennials who have spent lots of their twenties trying to navigate dating apps and dating in a big city.

Where To Watch: Hulu

The Pale Blue Eye

This is a dark mystery for murder mystery lovers starring Christian Bale as a detective investigating recent murders with the help of the famous writer Edgar Allen Poe.

Where To Watch: Netflix

The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker

For all documentary lovers, here is an interesting one. I honestly was not aware of this story so it was crazy to watch this story of a viral hero turned accused murderer.

Truth Be Told Season Three

I love this series, although I prefer season one to season two, nevertheless this is a recommended series for all mystery lovers. While each season seems to involve new characters, this series stars Octavia Spencer as a famous podcaster who uses her platform to investigate and look into murders and missing cases. This season centers around local girls who have gone missing but have been massively underreported.
