This treat is a fun one for all of those who may be looking for some new breakfast inspo for this next coming weekend, especially those with a sweet tooth! I am not sure that I have ever come across someone else who is familiar with this pancake idea but growing up this was the most desired breakfast request from us for my mom to treat us to! Since we had yet to hear of others outside of our family doing this, we got super crafty and came up with the name for this sweet twist to pancakes– brown sugar pancake roll ups. Yes you guessed correctly, these are exactly as the name suggests, your traditional pancakes rolled up with brown sugar in the center. Drizzle some maple syrup on top and you have probably one of the most delish pancakes and sugar highs you could possibly have. So while the name of it pretty much gives the entirety of this fun recipe– there are a few things to consider to make sure you can get this just right!
- Ensure you have a warm pancake
- Cut a slice of butter and make sure its room temp and ready to easily melt onto the hot pancake.
- Take a spoonful of brown sugar, or two spoonfuls, (not here to judge, definitely did more like three as a child) and smear it into the entirety of the pancake. Then you roll it on up and drizzle that maple syrup over it and there you have it, so easy and yet making the world of difference in serving you the most delish sweetest tasting breakfast pancakes ever!
