I know I talk a lot about my experiences as a tall girl, especially when it comes to finding clothes that fit. However, one thing I don’t really touch on is shopping for the tall men in my life.
As a tall girl, it can be tough enough finding clothes for yourself, let alone your tall brother, dad, or possibly a tall boyfriend. Men are also difficult to shop for in general, making the task of picking out clothes for taller and larger men daunting.
Over the years, I’ve gotten pretty good at figuring out what stores are tall guy-friendly having siblings and a dad who is over six feet, and I’m here today to share my findings with you! And with Fathers Day being just around the corner, here are the best stores to shop for that tall man in your life.
Gap
Gap clothes are stylish and affordable, and they have a special line that caters to guys 6’ and up! This is definitely the best place to start your search.
Eddie Bauer
Eddie Bauer carries tops and bottoms with longer lengths and inseams to fit guys on the taller side. They also carry swim trunks for tall men, which is perfect with summer just arriving!
J Crew
Speaking of summer, J Crew is the perfect store for summer fits and special occasion suits. Many items come in tall sizes, and you’ll certainly find something stylish for your man here.
Nordstrom
Nordstrom carries a whole line of big and tall clothing for men, which is perfect for dad. Nordstrom is somewhat of a high-end store, so you may need to break out that credit card for these clothes.
DXL (Big & Tall)
DXL is the OG clothing retailer for tall guys. Their website even features helpful photos of men of different heights and sizes wearing the clothing items so you can visualize what they will look like on your guy before you buy.
Mizzen + Main
Looking for luxury tall shirts? Check out Mizzen + Main. This is a store that my brothers have worn for comfy but dressy work shirts and they love it! They offer many tall sizes in the shirts which is great since lots of tall men are longer in the torso than us tall girls are.
Lululemon
Lululemon is a personal fav for shopping for guys. I personally do love shopping for men’s clothing and often Lulu is a first place to start. They offer comfortable work clothes that any dad, brother, husband, or boyfriend will love. They even offer sizes tall and up to 4XL!
