As sad as it is to see summer go, we are both SO excited for fall and all of the activities that come with it — including refreshing our wardrobe with deeper tones and cozy knits. Even though it’s still in the 90s most days in Dallas, we’ve started stocking up for when the temps do finally drop. Here are my (Sara’s) favorite fall pieces I’ve bought so far this season!
Madewell Cali Demi-Boot Jeans in Lockwood Wash – Time to break out those darker wash jeans! Madewell is one of my favorite brands for jeans and these specific cut is definitely my favorite style of any of my jeans this year – fitted through the leg, with a tiny flare at the end and cropped! Works well with boots or sneakers, and can be casual or dressed up (especially given the darker color!).
Marc Fisher Booties – I’ve seen so much Western-style fashion this fall, and these booties fit right in with that trend. I bought these in black last year and when I saw the cream/white version, I bought them immediately. Hurry, they are on sale at Nordstrom right now!
J.Crew Sweater Blazer – If you live in the south, this might be as much of a coat as you’ll need all fall and winter; but if you live in the north, this will still be a great fall addition to your closet! This sweater blazer will instantly make any outfit look more put together and sophisticate – whether you’re headed to the office or running errands in sweats.
Anthropolgie Mock Neck Tank – This tank is a great staple to have in your closet. It comes in quite a few colors and is so versatile. Can be worn on its own with jeans as a transition piece from summer to fall, and as the weather cools down, can be worn under a cardigan or blazer.
Free People Swim Too Deep Turtleneck – If you like chunky, oversized sweaters, you will love this turtleneck. I actually recommend sizing down a size (or two) because it is that oversized. This will go perfect with your favorite pair of cozy leggings this fall.
Steve Madden Sloanne Platform Booties – Another big trend I am seeing is platform boots – and I’m sooo into it! You get all of the extra height benefits from wearing a heel, but still maintain comfort because of the platform. These look great with long sleeve fall dresses or skirts because they add just a touch of edginess to any look.
